Laying on of hands with prayer and anointing
We have aimed to hold a service that includes the opportunity to receive the laying on of hands with prayer and anointing quarterly on a Sunday morning. The next service will be next Sunday. This time the ministry of prayer will be more fully integrated into the service with prayer taking place before we receive Communion.
Once a year we present the Church Council’s budget to the church family and set out the ways we can each play a part in contributing to the financial well-being of our life together. This year’s Giving Sunday will be 27 January. In particular we shall hear about a new scheme recently launched by the diocese to make it easier for us to give and for Gift Aid to be received monthly into the church account.
Community Easter Production
Enthusiasm has been shown for the idea of having a Community Easter production (maybe something similar to the legendary St Giles Community Pantomimes) – the proposed date for this is Saturday 27th April. There will be an open meeting on Wednesday 23rd January at 7.30pm in the Jubilee Halls for anyone who might be interested in being part of the production – on or off the stage! All are welcome! Posters and leaflets can be found at the back of church for the open meeting – talk to Rachel for more details.
Margaret Glover would be pleased to have your used stamped for Bransby Horses.
