Week of Guided Prayer

The Week of Guided Prayer has begun. Please hold in your prayers the 20 or so participants and their prayer guides, that they may all grow in their relationship with God.

Coffee Morning

Roy and Christine have kindly offered to hold a coffee morning for church funds. It will be from 10am to noon on Saturday 21 July at their home, 5 Browning Drive. Please put the date in your diary.

Learning Communities

The diocesan strategy for developing the life of all our churches is to encourage us to work with other similar parishes in Learning Communities. We have been matched with Hykeham, Bottesford and St Francis, Cleethorpes in our Learning Community. Now we need to find six people willing to meet with the other churches maybe four times a year to share our experience of life at St Giles and to learn from them. So far we have three volunteers from our church council. Would you like to join us? Have a word with Nick if you’d like to hear more.

Lincoln Chorale Concert proceeds

Many thanks to the members of the Lincoln Chorale and Sixteen-85 for a wonderful concert a couple of weeks ago. Donations at the door raised £250 for church funds.

Rachel writes:

“Thank you so much for everything last Sunday. I was overwhelmed by your love, your support and generosity. Thanks very much for your prayers, cards, gifts and especially for being there – it meant a lot to me. I’m very touched by the collection also. I hope to purchase a stole with it and will show it to you in due course.”
