Afternoon Tea

A very big ‘thank you’ to all those who in any way helped to make last Wednesday’s afternoon tea such a success. About 50 people enjoyed a top-quality tea served on beautifully decorated tables from fine china. Bishop Nicholas told us a little of how he came to faith and what the life of faith means to him including the place of friendship in the church community building lasting bonds between people.

The next date for your diary is 10 August, 7pm, when we shall be joined by bishop Nigel at a barbecue with a jazz band!

Invitation to Christians working in science, medicine or technology:

We’d really value hearing your voice. Will you please complete a short survey, likely to take no more than five minutes, in order for the wider church to be able to draw upon your wisdom as we all seek to engage well with issues of technology? This national work has grown out of the local ‘Faith, Technology and Tomorrow’ project which we ran in St Mary’s Church, Longfleet in Poole and the survey is available via that church website and the link below: “
